Content of this training:

1. Preparation and process

A good start is half the battle! We start by going through some questions such as:

How will the PDF document be published?
Is there an accessible alternative?
Make arrangements for delivery
Templates and accessibility

2. Preparing the document

How do you put all the settings right in the document? In this phase you will prepare the document in Adobe Indesign or Microsoft Word, think about:

The right language
The workspace
Creating styles
Export settings

3. Making the document accessible in terms of content

Getting started! We will access various elements in the document in Adobe Indesign or Microsoft Word such as:

Heads
Lists
Tables
Link texts
Informative and decorative graphics
Colour contrast
Content
Table of contents

4. Exporting the document

What do you take into account in Microsoft Word or Adobe Indesign while exporting PDF documents?

5. Checking the document and making it accessible in Adobe Acrobat Pro

Before your document is fully digitally accessible, one final check is made and it is then exported digitally accessible.
